Portable fire extinguishers should be tested and serviced by a competent person every year. We supply, install and service extinguishers, and look after your records.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, those responsible for non-domestic premises in England and Wales must carry out a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment and maintain appropriate fire precautions. For most business premises, this includes suitable fire extinguishers kept in good working order.

We supply, install and service fire extinguishers for offices, shops, warehouses, factories, schools, care homes, hotels and places of worship. Our annual servicing includes a service certificate and equipment register, giving you a clear record of the work carried out.

We also support businesses, landlords and property managers with fire risk assessments, fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire door inspections and staff fire safety training, including work in the communal areas of blocks of flats and HMOs.

Your fire safety questions answered

Portable fire extinguishers should be tested and serviced by a competent person every year, with a quick visual check on site each month.
It depends on the fire risks in your building. We will look at your premises and recommend the right types and number, in line with BS 5306-8.
If you run a business, employ people, or manage non-domestic premises – including the common parts of flats and HMOs – the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment to be carried out and kept under review.
Yes. Since 1 October 2023, section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 requires every Responsible Person in England and Wales to record the full fire risk assessment, whatever the size of the business, including who helped carry it out. Our assessments are always written up in full.
